Our Story

The Cellar Market was founded through the shared vision of two husband-and-wife teams, Mike and Susie Taylor and Nicole and Lance Goldberg, bringing together a passion for food, wine, and hospitality to create a welcoming neighborhood market inspired by the charm of a little shop in Europe.

Lance has spent over 30 years in the food and wine industry, including more than two decades in the Boca Raton retail wine market. A Certified Specialist of Wine, he has traveled extensively to vineyards around the world—from Germany and Argentina to the United States—developing a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and quality. His background as a chef and his passion for thoughtful food and wine pairings shape the curated experiences offered at The Cellar Market.

Nicole brings more than 25 years of business management expertise, with a strong focus on organization, analytics, and operational excellence. She is known for her attention to detail, innovative thinking, and commitment to creating exceptional customer experiences.

Together, they envisioned a concept that blends the warmth of a neighborhood wine shop with the sophistication of a boutique European cellar.

Meet Lisa

Lisa’s journey in food and wine began more than three decades ago with a wine class in New York City and a curiosity that quickly grew into a lifelong passion for wine, spirits, food, and the stories behind them.
Over the years, she has developed a deep knowledge of fine and rare wines, along with a particular fondness for Champagne and wines of the Southern Hemisphere. And when she’s not talking wine, there’s a good chance she’ll happily discuss great olive oil or her affection for The Cellar Market’s French Onion Dip.
In a full-circle moment, longtime friends and former colleagues Lisa and Lance are working together once again, always dreaming up new food and wine pairings to share around The Cellar Table.
You’ll often find Lisa at The Cellar Market helping someone discover a new favorite bottle, talking about the merits of a great olive oil, or enjoying a conversation over a glass of Champagne.

Meet Susie & Mike Taylor

The Cellar Market’s story began with a relationship built over many years. Susie and Mike Taylor had long been buying wine from Lance, returning for his knowledge, recommendations, and the best jamón ibérico they could find anywhere.

When the previous store closed, they saw an opportunity to bring back something they loved—with a fresh vision. They approached Lance and Nicole to ask whether they would be interested in reopening the store together and creating a place that felt like a little shop in Europe.

They imagined a welcoming neighborhood market where guests could discover wonderful wines, enjoy exceptional specialty foods, and take their time exploring. A place with personal service, familiar faces, and something special to bring home and share.

Today, Susie and Mike are proud to see that vision come to life at The Cellar Market. What began as a connection between longtime customers and the people they trusted has become a shared venture—and they’re excited for the journey ahead.
